Huan Ying Ni Lia!

You are welcomed!

Here is the camp I've been talking so much about lately. This is the main building where, during the winter, all the students and team live, eat and play.

On the main floor there are couches and chairs perfect for intimate conversations or competitive games. Currently, this level is decorated for Christmas!

The lower level has an open area for large group meetings, two ping-pong tables (or table tennis as most Chinese students call it), and tables for boardgames or for playing cards. There is also a small library filled with English books which introduce students to many American people, customs, and holidays. The students can often be seen exploring their precious pages. On the second floor, there are three rooms for sleeping. At our first winter camp, there were so many girls that we had to have them in two of the three rooms, and even move more beds in from the boy's room!

The new building, although not used
by the students this past week, fulfills
many purposes. It houses a garage for John's truck, it acts as a workshop for the workers to build furniture and/or fix things, and it is finished enough on the inside to be used as a classroom in the summer. Although it is heated with a firewall, it is still on the cold side to be used as a classroom in the winter. John has suggested, though, that the students could use the space to ride around on the scooters and/or potential roller blades!

Here is the camp from the hill across the street.
This hill is used for sledding and tubing in the winter
and as a bonfire location in the summer.
I'm still debating which season I like more.
Although the colors of the summer sunset
reflect the beauty of our Father,
there's also something wonderful in the silence
created by a blanket of white.
